A lot of nice contrasty warm tones. I wonder if the LD Pipefan mentioned being made from a print could be regraded to the trailer (they don’t sound far off from the description of it being rather yellow) which could then be used to regrade (and regrain) the HD master in the event this preservation doesn’t go anywhere. It wouldn’t be perfect but it’d at least be a better viewing alternative I imagine.

It's looking fairly unlikely at the moment, realistically, unless more people get on board. I'm going to be throwing some stuff together in the very near future to try to generate a little more interest, but so far I haven't actually taken any donations, just pledges, to be clear. But if you're sure you can do $100, that would certainly go some way to helping the situation. I haven't thrown in myself yet but obviously I'll be contributing whatever I can to get it done; I can't do $700 or so myself though.

I'll be syncing the LaserDisc audio at some point over the next couple of days, and perhaps doing a test encode of the whole LaserDisc as-is to give an idea of how it differs from the Blu-ray.
