I posted this in another thread, but just in case it gets lost there - does anyone here have a rip of the Japanese LD of the uncut 104-min version of Peter Jackson's Braindead that they'd be willing to share? There's one on CG but with no seeds. I'm doing my own reconstruction of the uncut version (minus the framerate issues from Dr Sapirstein's version) but the only source I can find for the original stereo at the moment is a heavily compressed Nicovideo upload in multiple parts.

Do you have the OOP US Blu-ray? Is the audio crap on that for some reason?

I do indeed have the US Blu-ray, which as I'm sure you know only corresponds to the shorter 97-minute version. In addition to some scenes being edited, a few (e.g. the house party pre-zombie outbreak) have alternate music or sound effects. I'd prefer one clean source for the original audio if possible.

Oh aye, of course. I *could* buy the JP LD but I've spent way too much money as it is... ah christ.

If no-one here happens to have this disc (it's quite a rarity and generally sells at an above-average price reflecting it's scarcity) would you be interested in purchasing it and sending it to one of the members here who would be happy to capture it on your behalf?

Please do let me know how you get on. I am currently exporting what I'm hoping is the final video pass (using the compressed audio from the Nicovideo upload in the meantime) so depending on the ETA of the LD, I could even upload with temp audio then re-upload with the "final" LD audio. zoidberg - My hope was that someone might have the version uploaded to CG a few years ago and be willing to share it. Let's see though.

Wonderful news, thank you! No big rush on the audio, just when you can  I watched the video through with the Nicovideo stereo audio for Halloween and sadly it’s too wobbly to use.

Never got around to picking up the JP LD myself, so I'm currently looking for it. Depending on how soon I found it, I can maybe capture it if no one else has by then.
