Is there a Cinema DTS source or Laserdisc DTS available for this which is better than Blu-ray PCM audio source.

How do we know its a 4k remaster? I had no idea it was a different master than the one on disc.

So do we know how accurate the colors are on this new transfer of Commando? Anyone ever seen a print?

Just looking at the opening title shot, the HDTV rip looks to be high on the green, the blu ray looks high on the red, whereas the laserdisc has blue sky in the top right corner.

Read it somewhere over at the forum with blu-ray in the title ages ago as I did with Commando, was first on iTunes, and looks a damn sight better than the blu-ray, gone are both the EE and DNR of the grain-less old transfer.

Also managed to grab The Color of Money D+UK 1080p:

Not sure if remaster or from 4k, still has that misty look about it, but so much more filmic than rubbish blu-ray.

Again, is there a Cinema DTS source or Laserdisc DTS or Dolby Stereo available for this which is better than Blu-ray DTS-HD MA.

The R1 US DVD of The Color Of Money has a Dolby Digital 4.1 Track. And the Laserdisc has a 2.0 PCM Dolby Surround mix.

Money was made well before DTS existed.
There was a remaster of the movie and it didn't end up on disc, I am sure I looked at it on D+ and didn't think it was that different.
The way to tell is to compare the colour of the table felt in the end tournament scenes

Definitely better than blu-ray which looked like video, at least it looks like film on D+. As said, wasn’t sure whether remaster as its still got a hazy look to it.

Do you have either of them to hand.
