I saw True Lies recently and those blue shots of Arnold at the desk looks nothing like the film.
The old 35mm print running around is a botched job and should never be used for any reference. Arnold has correct fleshtones in that shot in 35mm and is not full blue. I think there's also a 35mm scan of T2 around with the same kind of "all blue" shots in the corridor shoot-out, for example, when this never looked like this at any point. The film looks close to the HDTV master, only it has less luminosity raised, and whites are near clipping, but aren't (they are pushed to the limits before they clip).

I didn't take pictures but I did record 3 videos in the opening, I'll load them to you via wetransfer.
I imagine at some point someone will do a nice Abyss project, but in the meantime if I just want to watch the DC will the 4k do or am I better with one of the HDTVs? And which audio track?
