Yay, glad you like the idea, and your thoughts/plans sound on the mark from what I can sense. :) Unfortunately I have no specific recommendations, but for something as non-specialized as just translating (in a language that's very prominent) small chunks of dialogue you can try... Like, almost ANY forum has a chance of having a member being able and desiring to do a bit of what you request, right? It's not like you're asking for only someone with skill rebuilding transmissions of Chevy trucks made only from 1963-1965. :) So, are you a member of a number of on-line spots that have people from around the world (which would likely be all sites you're a member on, correct)?

As a start for this you can try just posting your request ("can anyone translate this mere three-min....?") in the off-topic areas of most sites with chat/discussion you already have a uerName+pw for and maybe your project will start off lucky at those places... as opposed to you feeling like you have to start from forum-membership scratch for every bit of translation. Just a thought, who knows if it would work, all seems like a dice-roll to a degree, doesn't it?

I hope you keep this thread generally updated on your success and obstacles, because I'm sure a lot of people had wanted a similar thing as you here and didn't try or post their attempt progress.

Hey there! I'm French and I'm a professional subtitler for the French hard-of-hearings. I haven't worked on that movie already, nor have I ever seen it, but I guess, if I like it, I could do it on my free time, when I'm done with synchronizing the French dubs of all Columbo episodes to match the Kino Lorber remasters. I would only make the French subs though. You'd have to find someone else for the English adaptation.
