I totally agree about the speed. Problem is I'm not 100% sure where to begin the opening action (I do know the end). So I went with the first frame that started changing shape relative to the bd which made it a bit fast since it's over a few seconds

Far better then what I had accomplished. I should of asked him to do the whole thing instead of patching it with another HDTV broadcast Wink

Nooooooo!!! Those 61 frames took me HOURS! I would have died if I had to do more! XD

About the "opening" of the frame. I think it would look very natural if it started expanding when he goes to the window and the lower edge of it "touches" the black bar. The bars could open as the edge goes down.

I don't know if I'm explaining correctly but it looks great in my head!

That sounds like a good idea for the "opening" frame...

Damn, numerous hours for two and a half seconds of footage... Ouch!

Wow, didn't realize it took that long. Again, thanks for all the help. The work I had done didn't look a faction as good.

Unfortunately, due to the method I'm using, I only have 126 frames to work with in expanding from 2.35 to 1.77. Its the distance from the 2.35 to 1.77 in Premiere (sounds weird but trust me on that). The current transition is a third of that so I re-built it with the 126 frame transition. That makes the transition smoother and slower but can't extend all the way to the beginning at the window from the first true IMAX frame. I decide to work back from that IMAX frame as far as 126 frames would go:

That looks pretty cool but I see what jedeitor was talking about "opening" when that bottom of the window gets to bottom of screen... that would be such a great place for it to start opening up. Either way, this is good work and I look forward to seeing the entire thing once your project is finished.

I tried that based on jedeitor recommendation because his idea is a good one and the window makes a great, logical start-point but but the problem is it just opens up onto a section of cropped 2.35 so its not full IMAX frame. So it doesn't have the impact. The frame that it opens up on in that youtube video is the first frame of IMAX (well full 1.77) that I can find.

Thank jerry.

Hopefully the whole thing will be worth it for people to download. I'm actually rendering the AVI tonight. Going to take 11 hours.

Got lucky and it went fine. So this is fully assembled and ready to be tested. Going to upload tonight.
