Don’t suppose anyone has the LD mono audio from the adventures of Robin Hood 1938? The blu ray has Dolby Digital.

It must take forever to sync things in Resolve. Even creating comparison videos with it was a slog. Great for colour work, but for any sort of editing it's too sluggish.
My sync of Seven Samurai required ~800 edits, I think.

In eac3to, -slowdown should be sufficient to handle the 24-to-23.976fps conversion: it works for both 24fps and 25fps sources (as long as you are demuxing from the container).

The 1994 CAV box is the same as the earlier disc just better pressed in full CAV and with the extra docu. Essentially it's a CAV revisit much in the way that 2001 and Goldfinger were with slight video/color improvements as well. The audio seems identical and is also 2.0 matrixed. I'm quite amazed at how good the PQ is on both releases. I've always read of the remix changing stuff but all in all they seem to sound very similar across the board with minor fluctuations. I still think a direct hires transfer of the Oscar winning six track mag mix is in order since it's a huge leap forward in terms of surround mixing and extremely historically important for film sound.
I'm still amazed how you guys can do full film syncs like this especially across formats and fixing frame rates AND for epics like BH.

MGM did that on a number of titles at that time. They did it for GF starting on the Connery collection LD then kept it that way on all releases until the UE DVD had mono.
They also added stereo main titles to the letterboxed LD of north by Northwest.
