We Are The Walking Dead (Mini-Series) FANedit
Your jokes made me laugh, so no worriesWink

The trailer was pretty low on my priority list, so it's far from being finished and until I have it assembled I will not "spoil" anything by describing it here. I'm sure you'll want to change something tooBig Grin

For the cover art, I have NO idea what image to use for the front and have been working on assembling the back of the cover which is what I have so far, although that's not finished yet either as I have been testing numerous fonts/styles/images/etc. to see what works for the "theme" of the mini-series and this first film.

As far as your suggestion of the front cover, I really like that third (middle) image (although not for the first film, of course) but the others seems too much like the covers used for the actual BD-set of the tv-show and I want people to be able to tell the tv show apart from my mini-series.

Also, since the mini-series will be following Rick, Glenn, and Daryl (part of the reason that I went with "we are" instead of "I am") so I would like to incorporate them into the cover but behind Rick since he is the main focus. I am actually thinking of custom designing the front cover to reflect my idea as I haven't found anything online that matches my idea. Plus, if I custom design it, it is one of those extra "finishing touches" to make this a better looking release.

On topic of foreign language tracks: I am uploading the files to MEGA and will be sending you guys links in PMs within the next couple hoursWink

Side-note: Apparently, this is now the most-viewed thread on this forumBig Grin Thanx for the support!

What about using images from the comics for the covers?!?

Haven't thought of that... Got any suggestions?

Nothing in particular, but it will be interesting to use them, to differentiate your version from the retail series.

Depending on whether I can manage to make the custom image that I have in mind, I might try that...
Actually, I'll see what I can find online right nowWink

Most of the covers and art work I found so far doesn't work for this first film. funny because I found a couple for each of the next film that could work and then....

then I saw this cover and although it doesn't contain Glenn or Daryl(Daryl doesn't exist in comic)this image "caught my eye":

Or maybe a more complicated and maybe impossible option... to re-create comic covers with real images from the series. There is a technique to make photos appear as they were drawings.

Jerry, I know some of those posters have been used for the official BDs, but they are the best of what's available.

I found some amazing drawings, look:

That last one fascinates me.

Most of the images I am finding fir better with any season except this first oneSad

I like the image I posted in my last post and really like the last image in Jedeitor's post. Hmmm... Decisions, decisions...

I have sent PMs out with links to foreign audio tracks and the English Hearing Impaired "template" fileWink

Some ideas around the "Don't open, dead inside" drawing.

I don't like the second one because it seems to "blank" with all that white in the background.
The first one, on the other hand, I like, but I think it would be better if the lettering and grey background were a sepia tone instead of the grey. If it ain't too much trouble, would you mind trying that?
