We Are The Walking Dead (Mini-Series) FANedit
Of course if was just a concept, but can be totally modifiable.

I tried a sepia tone for the background. I say "tried" because my daltonism doesn't let me tell similar colors apart. I guess it should be near that.

As for the title, I left the same color as in the title screen of the series.

I also added a black border to the "white background version" to show you the effect.

I agree with Andrea. That first one is nice. Only problem is that the "WE ARE" and "THE WALKING DEAD" is a slightly different color, they are extremely close but they are off. I noticed this too when I was custom editing that title into the video intro. The way I got them to match was by tweaking the contrast center of the video timeline where the "WE ARE" part was, which caused some problems on background color changing a bit and after a couple of hours of tweaking the contrast center and saturation level (which had to be slightly lowered for the "WE ARE" part but for some strange reason slightly boosted in the reds for the rest) and it's still not a perfect match but I think it's closer.

I wonder if I provide you png stills of the main title from the 1080p master, whether that would work better since I already have them calibrated to match and since you have a hard time distinguishing the color difference would help you avoid that problem altogetherWink

Here's the png file:

Also, would you mind excluding the blu-ray logo from the image?
I am not sure about the placing of the logo and whether to:
a) include it on there at all, especially if I decide to do a DVD release too
b) whether I want to use that bd-logo or a different one

Also, what are your thoughts on about this idea? Confused Huh

But... but... I copy/pasted the texture from WALKING DEAD to my WE ARE! There shouldn't be any differences! :_(

Anyway, I will use your logo and delete de BD Logo, no problem. Smile

I have darkened your logo a bit.

By the way, the "black" logo I used the first time was just this logo desaturated and darkened a lot. I think it can be good to make variations for next covers, depending on the background.

Untouched logo version (a bit lighter than the last one), in case you were wondering how would it look:

Well it almost time for me to sleep but before I do I just wanted to say that first image without the logo (the "darker" one) looks GREAT! The lighter one IMHO is too light. Very nice work my friendWink

Slight update on the trailer work: so the length of the music track I selected for the trailer is 3 minutes 16 seconds. Don't ask me what it is, it's a surpriseBig Grin
Anyway, There are a total of 45 different "punch" moments in the track where a shot change will be inserted to match the changing audio. there is a theme to the words and the shots/scene clips that will be on-screen. I have managed to narrow down the list of video and/or audio shots (for couple pieces of dialog here and there) to just over 80 angles/shots/etc totaling at just under 9 minutes. I made a detailed list of all changes in music, lyrics, etc and the exact timecodes of those changes (therefore I have lengths of time to associate video with those "pieces" of audio) I am in the process of writing down all of the video shot/clips/etc. that I have narrowed down and noting their timecodes in source and lengths of shots to see which pieces can fit with which audio part. For the video segments, there will be shots of Rick, Glenn, Daryl, couple of surprises (I don't want to spoil this part yet) shots of walkers in street and getting killed, few other miscellaneous "filler" shots. Hopefully I will be able to finish writing everything down when I wake up (I have about half of it done) and then I can start the work on assembling the trailer and seeing if the idea in my head will actually work once I see it play on-screenWink

Side-note: I am still looking for French and Russian speakers that could help verify tracks and translate subtitles. I will NOT exclude the audio tracks but I will also NOT include subtitles that were poorly made using google translator.

For my projects, I never put the BD logo in the front cover, but only on the read cover, and on the disc itself; just my 2 cent!

Yeah, I'm going to test it with a couple different bd-logos and see what works and doesn't work for me. Probably will only put it on the back, but we'll seeWink

so update on trailer: I wrote down all the timecodes for all the music stuff down on some paper, then got some scissors, cut up a few pages into small little rectangles where I wrote down timecodes of shots I wanted to use and brief description. I then put everything on the table and started matching the idea I have in my head with the lengths of shots available and slowly started narrowing down the nearly 9 minutes of footage to just over four minutes. Some of the footage will be used but for shorter time to match the music but I have yet to see exactly what works right.
So far, I have the first 35 seconds assembled out of a clip that will be about 3minutes and 25seconds. This is very time-consuming but very fun to attempt because I feel like I am "creating" something more than just a trailer... It's exciting stuffBig Grin Will post update on the status once closer to completion...

Well, before I go to sleep, figured I'd update the status of my trailer:

WHAT A PAIN IN THE ... LOL ... BUT....

I have around 2minutes40seconds of it completed so when I wake up, I should be able to finish it pretty quickly as there isn't much left. This is my first attempt at trying to custom-score a video track and has been an interesting learning process. Look forward to posting it here, (maybe even on youtube) before the project is completely finishedWink

IMHO, the perfect trailer should last one minute, not more... again, IMHO! Wink
