"The Terminator" 35mm scan emulation regrade
Posted by: Beber - 2024-12-14, 09:58 AM - Forum: In progress - Replies (23)

Hey, guys.

I've started a regrade of the remastered 1080p Blu-ray emulating the 35mm scan that's been out there for a while, which I like quite a lot and which looks more similar to the T2 cinematography with the blues and purples, whether 1984 accurate or not. I'm at 13'30" for now. There's a couple of shots I need to revisit, but here's how it looks right now:

Laserdisc Commentaries to Upload for remux! AC3, MP3, & AAC.
Posted by: AdmiralNoodles - 2024-12-10, 11:57 PM - Forum: Requests, proposals, help - No Replies

I've quite a lot of Laserdisc audio commentaries I've grabbed from a torrent many years ago on a private tracker which doesn't have invites anymore. Majority are AC3, very few are both mp3 and aac. Going to be uploading a vast majority to archive.org anyway since to me these would be best available to be synced to remux, either 1080p or 2160p. Even web-dl!
On archive.org search for username FansUnlimited. The commentaries will be available individually.

CARRIE: The Criterion Collection Laserdisc - #141 (1976) [CC1278L] - UPLOADED!
Audio commentary by film expert Laurent Bouzereau (author of The De Palma Cut) and screenwriter Lawrence D. Cohen - AC3 132 MB
[Image: 03860.jpg]

HIGH NOON - The Criterion Collection Laserdisc - #7 (1952) [CC1107L]
Audio commentary with film historian Howard Suber - AC3 116 MB
Note: This audio commentary is already available via remux, but will still be available individually.

KING KONG (1933) - The Criterion Collection Laserdisc - #2 [CC102L]
Audio commentary with historian Ronald Haver - AC3 119 MB

KING KONG (1933) - Image Entertainment Laserdisc - [I6003]
Audio commentary with film historian Paul Mandell - AC3 137 MB

Hey Everybody,

just wanted to say hello and introduce myself a bit. I'm a total noob to doing my own fan edits but I've been a big fan of the communities around them for years. I especially appreciate archival releases that help to preserve film history that isn't readily available for people.

So the BD is terrible, bad master and lossy sound mix that imo sounds worse than the dvd.
Anyone know of a better master or if the DTS mix exists?
