Apparently for Tron's BD release, the "flickering" visual eccentricities - I'm talking about the sudden "pops" in bright contrast on the live-action characters, which was compenstated for by way of additional 'pops' and 'flickers' in the animated image to make everything somewhat uniform - were minimized. That is to say, the animated effects remain, but the original problem was corrected. This adjustment was actually sanctioned by the director, and while I think it falls within acceptable levels of alteration, I do have the 20th anniversary DVD, so I might be able to upscale and restore it to the BD if someone wants it. What do you think?

Has anyone got some knowledge with using DoStudio? I been trying to author my Bluray disc in it for few days now, but I always end up with blank screen after the Trial message shows up on my player. I tried it on both Sony Bluray Player and Software player, but both have same issue.

I even tried just using the sample project from Sony's website, but after I change the menu to my own and change the video, it's all blank again.

Maybe someone could help me out? I can send the project files/Bluray files.

I got rid of the system that required a presentation post to get promoted to newbie. Now lurkers, newbies and registered users can post wherever they want.

There were also a couple of permission issues, e.g. lurkers couldn't access bonus projects category (why hasn't anyone said anything??). I fixed those.

I would like to offer my help to anyone who is currently working on a project and would like to at some point have it authored professionally into a Full Blu-ray file structure.

I am no Expert but I do understand how to author a Blu-ray and can compile using the latest version of Scenarist BD.

Okay, since the other thread has become an amalgam of it's former self I decided to finally create a singular thread just for this.  These are the Star Trek VHS Widescreen Edition tapes I will be archiving ....

5.  Star Trek First Contact (Sealed)
6.  Star Trek Insurrection

I have NOT obtained any of the other Widescreen Edition VHS tapes because I was hoping to find others with the "Collectors Info Card" that came with tapes 2 thru 6 in the above list.  IF and when I can find them, I will do them as well.

PLZ stay on topic in this thread.  It will help greatly for those wanting to know about this specific archive project.

So, basically after I watched this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_l-UJE4eiw - I decided to buy one of these devices and test them with Laserdisc player. Quality of video got nicely better than it would show up on my TV through just Composite connection, and it got rid of some of ghosting I had problem with using my LD-4300D.
