Kind of related, but I'm watching ROTLD on (free with ads) provider TubiTV https://tubitv.com/movies/334159
Of course it's the old master pared to what seems to be the original mono with YFI in place of Dead Beat Dance of course. Visually, aside from the recent MGM logo added at the start and end, I found this.
For a min I though they were using the SF 2k master, but has the same color timing as the MGM HD master throughout and stood consistent with no noticeable quality jumps. This version of the end credits aren't on the SS or MGM discs, but could possibly stem back to the 2002 MGM DVD (the one with the 4:3 version?).
Edit: Also discovered the stream on Prime Video US (with membership) is also this same version, while the one that is available to purchase on AV is the MGM BD master with the altered 2.0 mix, MGM Lion with URL, and "Dead Beat Dance" in the credits.

(can't make better now, why? this is another story for a new thread... next weeks!)
WARNING: "seams" aren't perfect due to one frame difference between the screenshots.
My thought: even if not perfect, when refined could be quite nice - of course, useful only when UK BD is less cropped than Shout; about color grading, I don't/can't tell which is the *right* one, I just used UK one here because the overlaid Shout used former chroma, that's all.
Reason for the UAR? because every pixel counts! ™
Yes, very nice, would be good for a second alternate version to accompany Evit's.

Guys, I wanted to ask if anyone is interested in making a menu for this when it is done? I have made menus before and can definitely do that part after I receive the finished file. I typically like to make menus with original poster art. Not big on modern looking menus.
Also, Evit... Will the finished file be a blu-ray file I can throw in a menu and be done with it? I would prefer that if you can work that out. Could do a few different file types for compatibility and convenience tho.

I also downloaded a very high quality vinyl rip of the soundtrack I got a few years ago. That may come in handy for a menu or something later on. I'll have to look it up again but the guy who ripped it used very high end hardware and there is very little pops or anything of that sort. Which is odd since it came from vinyl. Sounds super good tho.

Hint: why don't you make a special audio version? Like, using the tracks not used in the movie (I guess there would be some) to "cover" parts without music in the background... this could be nice, or a disgrace, depending on the listener!

That is a very interest in idea. Sad thing is that the soundtrack only has the tracks from the film... No extra. But maybe the music could he useful for something. Haha

Well, IF the tracks from the film are cut, AND if using the longer version of the soundtrack will fit somehow - read: not "covering" other music, or different scenes etc. - it could always be possible to use it... or not?

Right, that was another idea I was toying with. Be really cool cause the film companies never put that much effort into these types of films often.
