Has anyone attempted to do a sync of the 2001 R1 Paramount DVD/2008 R2 Optimum DVD (they both share the same mastering) audio for The Elephant Man to the UHD (StudioCanal/Criterion)?

According to blah-ray (and just by my judgment of the provided samples), the 2001 R1 Paramount DVD/2008 R2 Optimum DVD is easily the best-sounding audio currently available.

I'd love to know if anyone has taken a crack at this.
