Not sure if it helps but i have the two towers and the return of the king recorded in 1080 16:9, i had the first one but something went wrong with the recording. two towers has a logo on the bottom right (not sure about the 3rd one but most likely the same) ill get some screenshots if anyone is still interested

They are open matte 16:9; AFAIK no extended edition exists in open matte - but I would be more than happy to be proven wrong!
