Yep, it was the 1999 DVD that PDB provided and I synced.
Interesting to hear that the LD is different - Fox must have given the mix a do-over for DVD after all. I've never heard the laser (even if I had the disc I wouldn't be able to access the AC-3 without a demodulator), but would love to. If anyone can rip it, I can sync it...

I can rip and sync the LD AC3 but just not right now. Probably after Christmas, unfortunately.

I compared them all directly save for the first letterbox DVD which I don't have and don't remember any placement differences. I'll have to check again when I get time.
I was pleasantly surprised that the BD audio is not only the same but more robust due to the higher quality.

It seems that iTunes is streaming Die Hard in 4K now, it sneaked out in December it seems. Anyone seen it yet?

Shame there isn't a way as far as I am aware to capture these 4k iTunes streams, would love to see this and Goldeneye.

I thought some groups were using 4K capture cards?
In any case, now that apple is streaming Die Hard in 4K there's a chance that they're using the new master for the 1080p version too.
(Also Predator is on iTunes 4K as well)

I am sure I read on here somewhere that the 4k Apple Tv only streams to the display device, there is no hdmi or other connections to be able to capture it. Isn't that true?

Surprised then, like you said, no groups have captured the streams and released them into the wild, hopefully shortly.
