I see that someone is discussing 007 fullscreen versions over at Original Trilogy, and will add some info here that hopefully spoRv will see:
The 1997 MGM DVDs (NOT the later Special Editions or Ultimate ones) of Dr No, From Russia With Love, and Goldfinger are single sided, dual layer discs that also have fullscreen versions in addition to their anamorphic 1.78 widescreen versions. The fullscreen version of Dr No IIRC, had most shots unmatted (right down to the gunbarrel and title sequence) though a couple of driving shots were obviously cropped, possibly due to the rear projection method being done at 1.55:1.
FRWL and Goldfinger on the other hand, probably had a higher % of hard masked shots as the vast majority, with the exception of vehicle shots in the chase sequences and the gunbarrel, were heavily cropped throughout. The flat Roger Moore films were released later on in the Special Edition wave and AFAIK only carried widescreen versions, but 4:3 versions of those (released on VHS, VCD, and early Laserdiscs?) from what I saw were done the same way as FRWL and Goldfinger. All of the 2.35 anamorphic Bond titles are P&S massacre jobs on any 4:3 version you will find, though some of these had recomposed credits and title sequences on certain versions, mainly older video and TV airings.
Starting with the Bronson titles, they were shooting the gunbarrel+opening shot, title sequence, and ending credits in Super35 by framing for scope but protecting for TV and video without serious cropping or P&S.

I think the Tv logo one was my ITV2HD Cap which as I said wasn't actually OM (cropped 16:9) although the project guy didn't seem to notice either.
Any chance you could post some screenshots from the PSP rip or send me a link so I can take screenshots. It looks like it has been abandoned as a released project so would love to see the original rip if it is OM.
I would be very grateful.
