The DNR'ed is the widley avaible Version (called "remastered"), while the not DNRed Version was a Bonus Disc in the limited Mediabook and Vintage design Editions.

Is the non-remastered version better then the US one in your opinion MrBrown?

I don't know, I never opened one of the media books... But I think in best case it will be the same.

Sorry for late replies (busy week!) - the german Blu ray is identical to the US STARZ blu-ray release; the 'remastered' german version is the STARZ blu-ray without the fake layer of grain and then further DNR appliedĀ (as despite what most folk think, the US blu-ray is quite heavily DNR'd and then masked - a good point of reference to check this is when Ash leaves the cellar and the clock is chiming like big ben, as he steps away from the cellar immediately after, pause your blu-ray; at first glance, the image looks crisp, clear and sharp. Then pause the Herald videogram laserdisc or the 1982 Palace VHS on the same screen and put them side by side and its quite scary... brickwork of the cabin wall disappears, creases in Ash's shirt have vanished - the blu-ray isnt as good a source as people think it is ^_^ (though when it comes to general viewing it is quite nice overall)

Still plugging away. It's just taken a backseat to DH2, Road Warrior and Blade Runner.
Two things of note: 1. I think I will do two versions in difference to what Its_auto said. One skewing as close to the LD as possible and one with the magenta/red fix with corrections for luma, highlights and contrast. I will pack both together. So the best of both worlds. 2. For the first version(s), I'm not sure how many fixes I'm going to put back in Thanks given by: applesandrice , The Aluminum Falcon
