Meanwhile... testing the AAP-AR regrading using film as "inspiration" - it retain the film "spirit" quite well!

It seems that average diff is greater than OverlayEngine.maxDiff value. Bacause overlay is a bit unstable.
You need to analyze the average diff in various scenes before the full movie processing and set to OverlayEngine.maxDiff a slightly larger value. Then analyze how diff is changing inside the scene and set to OverlayEngine.maxDiffIncrease an absolute value of max increasing from the sample average diff (backward frames + current + forwards). The last key parameter is maxDevitaion - how much the intersection area of neighboring frames can change to attempt to stablize them, usually 0.3-0.5 is good for 1080p.
With appropriate backward and forward frames prediction (backwardFrames=4 and forwardFrames=8 for ex.) AutoOverlay will have high perfomance, good scene and pan&scan detection.
And of course don't forget to set the correct aspectRatio in OverlayConfig if needed. Check that overlay is correct with OverlayRender.mode=7.

I'm all for this! Honestly, this could be a an interesting add on to any of the HPs that offer full screen, open matte options as well.

EDIT: forgot to mention, thanks for the Uloz tip! Indeed, at 6.5mbps, it is a bit better than WEBdl at 5mbps, and maybe merging them would lead to better details; at least, this version could be merged with the BD, still I don't know if regrading it to film would be better, due to clipped whites of this color grading...

Yep, the whole trilogy is in my hands... ready to test this open matte version and BD to produce a new AAP-AR - hope to find out the right settings, as I have no idea of which ones would avoid the admitedly sparse align problems.
