[Help] The Keep (Michael Mann, 1983) – 35mm Scan

fellow TD/Mann/Keep fan here. What's on that "Keep Cues" CD? Where can I learn more?

Really excited about that doc release, I backed it in 2015!

This is some of the music that was used in the film as it is (isolated) limited to 222 copies.  
So for example the first track is the opening sequence with them arriving at the village before the keep, track 2 is the lead upto and a small partial part of logos aka stealing the cross (but cuts out before it truly kicks in)

its an official release or fan-made? It looks amazing! I've spoken w/ Stephane Piter some 18 or so years ago. Do you know the track listings? It seems we're never going to get the expanded "Walking in the Air" from the alt TV-cut ending

That's amazing! Not only did he work on the film, he's the biggest superfan 😄

It was a special official release for one of the concerts in Transylvania 2008.
All the tracks are listed as untitled, they never gave them names for some unknown reason!

anyone know anything about the VHS release? it's marked as 105min (1hr 45min). i thought it might be a misprint but there's at least 2 different releases marked 105min:

Its 96 mins so that has to be a misprint.
Its not some fluke where they accidentally snuck a longer cut onto the VHS.
I also don't know why that 1st seller is calling it "1.85:1".. its fullscreen.
A widescreen VHS is quite rare and it would say so on the box.
In this digital age of PAR and DAR, he prob meant "it takes up the entire screen" ie., fullscreen.. but only if your monitor/TV are square, lol. That means its 4x3.
I don't even think they ever released a widescreen VHS.
They did on laserdisc, and I have it.
Unless you just need it on VHS quality I'd skip both.

They both look like the same VHS thats been around forever that I actually rented a few times from the video store and even remember sitting on the shelves back in the day.

I'd love for you to get one and tell us it includes the extended ending, but I'm afraid you'd be wasting your money

One of them is gone.. buy the other and tell us if it has the extended ending
