Region A has burnt-in English subs when Elvish is spoken. Region B uses player-generated subtitles.

And yes, this 4K Release is a complete mess. Improvements are negated by the revisionist alterations.

For shits and giggles, I turned the LFE down a bit over 9dB directly in the audio file. It's still much too loud in places.
