I have a friend with the DTS LD and would like to include that as the primary audio choice but I have to figure out how to cap it.

I was actually just about to post here that the DTS Laserdisc is up on ebay now, starting bids at $80. I figured as it's previously sold for $60 it's not too far off, so we could try and buy it, see if a member can capture it and then sell it, hopefully getting back most of what we spent. 

However if you can find a way of capturing your friend's disc that would be the best option for sure. Your friend doesn't have the Ransom DTS disc does he? That seems to be a $200 disc.

I think I should be able to get the DTS ld. The bigger question for me is whether I can cap it and whether my ld player will hold out. It’s been acting up lately...

Sorry AC he doesn’t have the Ransom DTS ld. That is an expensive one isn’t it?

Yes I read somewhere it's one of the rarest DTS discs. The AC3 disc is really cheap so for an upcoming project I'll be using that. I'd love to check out the DTS track but can't justify those costs!

I'm going to be doing a project at some point to create the extended version using LD footage merged with the Blu Ray footage, a friend with a Domesday setup is currently capturing the LD. But to snyc with the theatrical cut the LD would need about 18 minutes cutting out of it.

It's a lot of cuts, and a lot of work but it's the best version of the movie

Is there any place those scenes appear beside the ld? Like deleted scenes on a dvd?

As far as I am aware it's all LD exclusive
