Okay, no problem.
I was considering getting the old Japanes BD since I had gotten a freeleech period on the torrent site... but this looks like it's just going to be better.

I'm hoping too. The source Scan looks pretty nice, and looks much better than the Lionsgate Blu-ray

It's night and day. The Blu discs are just atrocious compared to this.

It has the paramount colour funk going on under the grain, and with that grain it will fall apart unless they put all the nitrate they can on it in the right places.
It needs the OG mix especially as the framing is wrong.

(Or were you referring to the original DTS mix and Dolby Stereo because those haven't been on a video release since the '90s)

Understandable, Spencer wants pretty much the SR, I think both should be preserved and both should be without pulling Paramount's teeth out. Considering the DP is overseeing the transfer, I think the director should have also overseeing the transfer as well to get it right. |
