I'm hoping too. The source Scan looks pretty nice, and looks much better than the Lionsgate Blu-ray

It's night and day. The Blu discs are just atrocious compared to this.

It has the paramount colour funk going on under the grain, and with that grain it will fall apart unless they put all the nitrate they can on it in the right places.
It needs the OG mix especially as the framing is wrong.

Does the Collector's Series DVD have audio tracks you need? It had DTS & DD 5.1 as well as a 2.0 track.
