I know this isn’t WOWOW but this is related to Japanese TV-only remasters.
Toei Channel airs 4K restorations (with proper grain and all) of their older anime films. I (and some fellow enthusiasts) particularly want the 4K restoration of Horus: Prince of the Sun.
It is on Blu-ray in native HD but Q-TEC badly DNR’d and smoothed it to the point that the Blu-ray is often mistaken for a LaserDisc upscale.
The actual LaserDisc and DVD releases are even worse.
I hope someone in Japan (probably the same team doing these WOWOW captures) can also look out for Toei anime films in 4K to capture. But if it’s just one film, please look out for Horus: Prince of the Sun.
