O.K, so this exists because Robert Longo mentioned his Director's Cut would be in B&W?
But it's not his Director's Cut!
This is a pretty bizarre release if you ask me.

I think the theatrical is his preferred cut

Yes, out of the 2 available, but it's still not how he would have cut the film.

I think this was posted elsewhere on the forum but here's a recent interview with the director about the B&W:

So has anyone seen the B&W version yet?

I didn't watch it, yet. But I've got the BD.
Just short jumped in, and it felt somehow fitting to the movie.

It'll be interesting to see if the film finds a new audience in this B&W version, and whether this will be the default version going forward.
By all accounts the recent 101 Films release in the UK was not the definitive release we were hoping for, to put it kindly. I still check in to Good Squid to see if the JPN LD is in stock, it never is

Can I just confirm one thing, as I'm somewhat in the dark atm. I've sent PM to alleycat, asking about this project, and did not get any response, for a couple of days. I'm beginning to wonder if my message even reached them...
The OP seems to me like a really nice person, and I doubt they are trying to be rude by ghosting me, and would rather think they are just too busy, or they did not even see the message. All fine, I guess, it's just bugging me that I do not know what is.
I would just feel much better if I would know they have seen my message, and at least hear from them.
Thank you alleycat for as much as detailing your approach with this. It is a valuable info alone, for sure.

I can't speak for alleycat personally but if I had to guess his thoughts, his first post pretty much spells out who he will give his projects to:
PM me for the links, contributing/long term members only please. Contributing means active members of the forum who post and/or make their own projects.
Since you are a new member, based off of that statement, I wouldn't expect to get his project in the short run (beside I doubt the project is uploaded anymore). Speaking from personal experience as a project maker, it is annoying that people sign up just for one project instead of wanting to become a member of the forum in good standing. That's not being mean or cruel or not wanting to share with new members, it just comes from a place of being constantly asked by people you don't know for your hard work. Sometimes in a very rude manner.
So sit back, relax, hang around the forum, make some friends and I'm sure in the future better things will come your way.
