The Director's Cut of Scream has around 6 seconds of uncut footage. It was released on laserdisc and in Germany/Japan on DVD, however it has never been released on Blu Ray.
For this project I used the most recent Blu Ray, which was released at the same time as the UHD. For the uncut sequences I used the German DVD, they were upscaled to 2160p in Topaz, cleaned and taken back down to 1080p. The footage suffered from baked in interlacing artefacts and Topaz actually did a good job of fixing these. The footage was then regrained using the grain from the blu ray, which was extracted and overlayed in AE. Finally it was regraded to match the blu ray color.
The blu ray footage was altered slightly as it looked a bit too bright to my eyes, I used a partial CRT LUT to reduce the red a little and played around with the highlights, whites and exposure.
The video was then synced to the PCM and AC3 tracks from the laserdisc (thanks @williarob and @little-endian). Just to confirm there were two scenes that were slightly shorter in the Laserdisc DC when compared to the blu ray footage so these have been edited so they match the laserdisc. From memory it was two instances of around 20-30 frames.
Finally I put together a separate disc of extra features, I tracked down several different DVDs for this and have included pretty much everything that is out there.

Just to clarify this is a project that I have made for myself which I am choosing to share. If you don't like the project, if you think it should have been done differently then feel free to keep that to yourself and consider doing your own project.
