Yeah, but you need an UK invoice address for buying digital content.
It should be possible to access Amazon Prime UK and it's content using a VPN, shouldn't it?
I'm very new to all of this.

The issue is, that prime included content is watchabple via VPN, but Highlander 2 is not included in prime, so it has to be purchased digitally. This does not even need VPN, but, if not using gift cards, a credit card from a bank in the country you want to purchase the Digital content from, AND an invoice adress in that specific country.
So, to buy or rent a digital content on amazon (UK) an address in the UK is needed. So even if I can watch prime included content with my german prime membership on amazon (UK), the movie Highlander 2 is not prime included content.
Yeah, I literally tried to buy it a week ago and it blocked me because I'm in the States. Told me the exact same thing. Needed a UK address and credit card from a UK bank. VPN didn't matter. I assume it's a licensing issue and I hope it becomes available in the States eventually.

The Bank Card from the country can be avoided, I tried that in the US, with gift card balance, but you still need a local residual adress. So, you would still need an UK billing address. I tried to purchase "Flow" in the US digitally, and learned the hard way, that having a bank card from US is not the only problem...

Hopefully someone here is locating in the UK and he can maybe download this movie after he bought the rental of digital.

Yes, the US Theatrical Cut definitely needs to be preserved in the highest quality possible. It's pretty critical in understanding the lingering reputation of HIGHLANDER II. If there's a HD version available on streaming, it needs to be saved and made available for the fans of this series.

I actually just purchased a used copy of the Japanese HIGHLANDER II Blu ray to have the US Theatrical Cut on Region 2 DVD.

I didn't know before that the Japanese BD contains both versions (RV & US TC). That’s cool!

Don't know if this has been mentioned in a different thread or if it's relevant to this one, but there's a German Blu ray release of Highlander 2 coming out this May. Includes Special Edition and the "fairytale ending" version. Everything about it says the fairytale ending is German dubbed, unfortunately. But I was hoping maybe the English audio track just isn't being advertised.

I've got my eyes on that upcoming German blu-ray release.
The Fairytale Ending version is the version I want to see most; I think that's a scene which needs to be in the film. There are so many scenes like Ramirez saying, "The cause is still just" and MacLeod saying, "If I win, I'm going to go back" and the villains dreading the thought of Connor coming back. If he doesn't go back, what was the point of everything that happens?
It's a film about rebelling against oppression.

The german release will contain the Special Edition on bd, and the german theatrical cut on DVD. so, it is cut in some violence scenes, and likely a re-release of the already released disc, without english audio on the Theatrical Cut.

@MrBrown… Yes, right the German will get the TC only on DVD stupidly. I contacted and wrote to Leonine why they offer us the rancid DVD of the TC although Concorde did to get scan from a cinema print for their new DVD release and they could do similar for their new Blu-ray release. I will never understand that we have year 2025 and they still offer the f****** SD only.
