The Dark Jedi/Team Blu project is on the spleen. It edits the Bluray to the DVD, with the theatrical shots subbed in from an HD cap.

I was capping something else at the same time so I capped it too, no big deal. Like I said, if there's interest I'll crack on, if not no worries.

I'm definitely interested. I remember the Netflix stream looking very good. What did Team Blu use for their custom?

I think they edited the Director's Cut BD and replaced affected scenes. I also have an HDTV recording (Film 4 HD) which looks pretty good but I haven't capped it yet as it's 1080i and I have to capture it losslessly via a separate device. If the masters are identical I might be able to combine the two.

I'm definitely in too! Love this movie. Hate the DC.

I've picked this up again after a bit of a break, I've gone with the HDTV cap for the most part using the Netflix cap for missing frames (of which the HDTV has a few around commercials). I've also replaced the spotlight shot as it is obviously a DC change which 'slipped through'. That shot (16 frames) will be an upscale from the DVD. The audio is the Theatrical DVD Mono (AC3 2.0).
SilverWook, is your VHS Mono track synced to the DVD? Thanks given by: IcePrick

I didn't do anything beyond the raw capture. TM2YC over at fandedit may have synced it to his version by now.

I've capped the Netflix 1080p stream. It's theatrical except for the spotlight shot which somehow snuck in from the DC. The audio is a 5.1 remix.

JEDIT:Here's what TM2YC has to say about the Netflix version:
" As far as I can work out, the Netflix version (on my UK netflix service at least) is basically the TC but with the DC grade. Colour/brightness wise it is 100% the DC. So a third/a half (?) of the scenes have been digitally darkened a lot, that lighting shot has been brightened to an insane level and some scenes (such as the finale beach sequence) obviously lack the warm tinting of the TC. Don't let anybody tell you the brightness differences are due to it being a different scan, of a different print. It's the same scan, down to the pixel. But unlike some other hybrid streaming versions I haven't noticed any cropping (most of the DC has been cropped). It looks like DVD quality to me (but compressed). You'd be better just buying the TC DVD (which is a great transfer). IIRC correctly, the itunes TC version is true HD (but compressed for streaming) but is also colour/brightness, 100% the DC. Bottom line is, if you don't much care about the grade/brightness being accurate, then all versions are more or less the TC. If they don't have the comic panels, you are going to have a good time.
