Ghost in the Shell Japanese/English Dub mix
Posted by: AlisonCandiloro - 2024-01-02, 07:55 AM - Forum: Requests, proposals, help - Replies (2)

So I love 1995's Ghost in the Shell a lot. It's one of my favorite movies, and it speaks to me.

That being said, I've never been entirely satisfied with either the English or Japanese dubs of the film.

The English one has a generally good set of performances with one or two standouts such as the Puppet Master character voiced by Tom Wyner being a standout, but with the Mimi Woods as the Major being very... misdirected, let's say.

Meanwhile the the Japanese dub has very good performances, such as the Major and Bato, but Iemasa Kayumi's Puppet Master in my opinion very inferior to Tom Wyner's version of the character.

So here's my request:

Using the DVD release of the film, could you put together an edit of the film that has Tom Wyner's performance of PM put into the Japanese dub?

  [Help] Godzilla 1998 Japanese LD
Posted by: jedihunter92 - 2024-01-01, 11:09 AM - Forum: Requests, proposals, help - No Replies

Hi I noticed on the LD database it states that apparently the Japanese Laserdisc has some extras that I've been after for quite some time. Namely the New Year's teaser and tv spots. I was curious if anyone had the release and could rip? Or if I was able to find one who might be able to be of some help? Would much appreciate any help. As I would love to preserve the extras present on that release as I don't think any were ported over to the Japanese DVD or Bluray. If they were that would be fine as well if anyone happens to know. Plus it would be nice to preserve the LD transfer as it apparently has opticals ptesent for.the french dialogue. Obviously I'm willing to pay gor any help I'm given with this. Please reach out if you're able to help or have access to this release.

Hi All,

I'm after some specific special features to help with future projects that were only included on US releases of Antibodies (Dark Skies) and Tae Guk Gi (Columbia Tristar).

Does anyone out there have these discs?

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966) [ML105107] synced to AVC BD
Posted by: wright96d - 2023-12-19, 09:44 AM - Forum: Released - No Replies

Input Soundtrack: 16-bit, 44.1khz, 2.0 Mono
Output Soundtrack: 16-bit, 44.1khz, Mono
Ripped by: Kcognetti503

Please thanks and PM for access

NOTE: While exacting bit-perfect accuracy is typically preferred for LD syncs, I prefer to use speed adjustments to keep synchronization. I also insert BD audio to cover reel changes or side breaks when necessary. As well as minor filtering in the form of DC Offset correction, de-humming, and manual declicking (when necessary). 2.0 mono tracks are processed with Voxengo MSED to remove stereo information unless stated otherwise.

P.S. Speed adjustments were not used as I didn't find them necessary.
