How to invert the eye in a 3D MKV ?
Posted by: framemaster - 2023-03-15, 11:21 AM - Forum: Converting, encoding, authoring - No Replies

I'm trying to work on a 3D file, to use reference frames, but I don't think it's the "good eye".
Can I reverse this so that the "good eye" is displayed ?

  Jurassic Park 35mm 6.5K scan + 14 trailers
Posted by: 2001CluelessDianogas - 2023-03-15, 08:22 AM - Forum: In progress - Replies (106)

I have a Jurassic Park 35mm + 14 35mm trailers 6.5K scans project in progress.
For JP it will be donor's access only. Trailers will be open access and even go on youtube (although high quality, large file, low compression will be donor's only).
They will all be presented in UHD and HD resolution and SDR standard gamut (possibly UHD/HD resolution and SDR wide gamut and UHD/HD+HDR+wide gamut for some, eventually).
JP will be given both open matte and flat output.

the trailers associated with the project are:
The Little Mermaid - early U.S. trailer on Fuji stock
Home Alone 2
very rare Carmen On Ice - feat. Katerina Witt & Brian Boitano
Blade Runner - 1992 director's cut re-release trailer
Return Of The Jedi SE - trailer ‘D’
Cruel Intentions
rare A Night In The Life Of Jimmy Reardon
Pretty In Pink
The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Bring It On
Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1992)
rare Spider-Man (2002) - Twin Towers teaser trailer
Anchorman
rare Cool World

Scanner calibration will be matched side by side display with a few selected frames from the various reels viewed under theatrical projection-like high CRI LED D56 lightbox conditions to hopefully get it to be pretty close to true in color tone, saturation and tonal curve to the 35mm print.

Progress: scan complete, data in hand, calibration being polished up
Project scanning/storage/backup cost: $1245
Current funding level: $398 = 32% funded

Hi,

Has anyone synced the OG stereo mix from either the LD or DVD to Criterion's UHD?

Thanx.

I recently got a hold of the blu ray of this strange little film and my God it's a bit of a mess. Does anyone have a decent rip of the DVD-era HDTV master?

Video Cross of Iron (1977) grindhouse German theatrical print audio sync project
Posted by: Plissken1138 - 2023-03-13, 10:09 PM - Forum: Requests, proposals, help - Replies (4)

Only few days ago did I learn that there is a 2K scan of German theatrical print of Sam Peckinpah's Cross of Iron as a grindhouse bonus feature on Cross of Iron 2 (yeah, that exists) Blu-ray. Holy smokes. It's German dub only, as well as the main feature, the sequel. I searched the forum but haven't found anything on possible Cross of Iron LD audio captured. I would like to try to sync original English audio to this one, so if anyone has the LD audio captured and is willing to share, please let me know.

Gone a long time but back now, seems like I just did this in another forum, did this one migrate over?

Life got in the way of my hobby but now looking forward to reading about some cool projects.

Perfume Of The Lady In Black (1974) 24-Bit Audio?
Posted by: LucasGodzilla - 2023-03-09, 08:10 PM - Forum: Requests, proposals, help - Replies (1)

Hello, I don't suppose anyone here on the forums has access to the out-of-print Raro blu-ray release of the giallo The Perfume Of The Lady In Black for its 24-bit DTS-HD audio tracks?

The 88 Films release unfortunately only has the audio in 16-bit PCM and I am not at all willing to pay an arm and leg for a scalper copy of the US release for just the higher-quality audio to sync up.

I also wanted to ask on a curio level if anyone has the German dub that was included on the X-Rated Kult blu-ray release. I would like to get my hands on it too, but the 24-bit audio tracks of the Italian and English dubs are my bigger priorities at the moment.

Thanks in advance!

Hi all. Found a really neat project on here for extended Harry Potter cuts.  Thought I'd join and check it out.

Currently working on some Cinema DTS discs and some 35mm feature and trailer stuff.
