Ah, that's right! You start to get confused after while with all these various different copies. Of course you yourself have an extreme amount to sift through.
I think what always confused me was a near identical bit of damage present on both LDs-this could be either that the IP had the same damage that was later on prints or that they used a section of the older master, which is weirdly something MGM used to do in the era.
(The identical markings helped me to identify the Criterion and MGM Dr. No as one and the same.)
Maybe the DVD is missing the shot because they crammed the long feature plus the deleted scenes onto a single DVD way early in the format and somehow either missed the shot or had to snip a tiny bit of something for space?
