That was surprisingly easy, I was worried that there wouldn't be HD versions of the 'scope logos out there! (The flat 1.85:1 opening logo from that era is, I think, intact on the Goodfellas BD, but not sure if that film had the standalone closing logo.)

Right on. Thanks again for the suggestion! I added the opening and closing scope logos to the Movie Studio Logos thread, too, just in case anybody else can use them.

Yeah, the 1.85:1 logo may be on "Goodfellas". Definitely worth checking, if anybody should need that one. I know there was a project a year or so ago where someone restored the logos for "Pee Wee's Big Adventure", and uploaded it to MS. Not sure it's still there, though ...

Thankfully, someone had posted images of the scope versions on closinglogos.com and said they came from Ricochet. Don't know why they said it was from a Blu-ray though.

I don't think were actually very many 'scope films from WB in 1990-92. The other ones I can find on a Google search right now are The Rookie, The Neverending Story II, JFK, Stay Tuned and Unforgiven. I am not sure if there were any more. (The Last Boy Scout was released by WB, but was actually from Geffen, so it didn't have a WB logo, just the little WB notice under the Geffen logo.)

I think the 2.35:1 opening version may actually be intact on the BD of Unforgiven, I've seen some very good screenshots of the logo and opening titles on some website. But I believe that had the print version in the end credits, so it's good that I chanced upon this find. (I have the original VHS of Joe Versus the Volcano, but somehow I never thought to check the end to see whether the logo was in the credits or stand-alone.)

Just discovered that JVTV will be getting a Blu-ray release from Warner Archive on 6/20! Hot crackers!!

I may still need to finish my project of replacing the WB logos and including the uncompressed stereo track from the laserdisc, but hopefully the picture quality will be better than the various HD caps that I've collected over the years.
