dvdmike, did you ever watch T2 in 70mm? Just wondering if there any known differences between the CDS and 6-track mag mixes.
I had a quick go translating the sleeve notes on my squeeze LD using the miracle of Google translate, in the hope of gleaning some info about the transfer. Apparently the original squeeze (PILF-2187) was sourced from the hi-vision master.

There are two squeeze, the different one with the astonishing sound, and the other reissue one which is like every other LD of T2 out there only in squeeze. The first one is the one to get, it's unique.

The First one has a different color timing, due to the fact that they forgot to put any Filters on the movie, as far as I heard

THX has done some pretty good encodes, mind. How good THX encodes are generally depend on how well the THX-certified post houses handle them.
