3D conversion forces to zoom on the sides since it as to use more left and right footage.
Top & Bottom aren't a problem since this is Super 35 however it's possible they had to zoom more on top as the common top line used for the film, didn't leave a lot of headroom, whereas the bottom has way more extra information. I'm guessing the regular disc will not present that zoom, just the 3D presentation.

DNR and 3D is just one of those things. It is what it is. The only 3D blu I know with serious grain is Top Gun but that was a different conversion company (Legend3D). StereoD conversions always seems to have DNR. Once the glasses are on and the show begins the DNR isn't really obvious (except for a couple of shots). It's way more obvious in 2D, the youtube clips etc.
The real test is how the remastered 2D blu/UHD will look.
