Screenshots are always appreciated, in particular comparisons between OAR and open matte versions.

Two more discoveries to add:

Starship Troopers - Region 1 Fullscreen Special Edition DVD (and possibly early flipper pressings of the 1997 DVD). With the exception of the CG VFX shots and TriStar logo, most shots are opened up with partial info missing on the left side.

Heavenly Creatures - 2010 Canadian Alliance Blu-Ray (Region A locked). Opened up from 2.35 ratio with light cropping on the sides https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&a=0&...49&i=0&l=1.

Now that I am temporarily abroad, and had access to a sat decoder, I have seen some 16:9 full screen movies that have an OAR of 2:35:1, yet I can't confirm if they are open matte (most likely), or just cropped on the sides... they could be suggested first, but I am too lazy to check'em out now... Big Grin - I write them here also as a reminder! They are (in no particular order):

Inception
Quantum of Solace
Self/Less
Skyfall
X-men: First Class
Moms' Night Out
I Origins

Skyfall should be open matte. I saw an HDTV airing of it within the last year or so and it was definitely opened up... Not quite the IMAX framing (which I am desperately hoping will see an official release at some point), but still more open than the current BD release. Can't speak to the others though.

This looks pretty amazing!! all that needs to be done is to slow down the PAL transfer to NTSC and then mux and sync the DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 tracks from the German Blu-Ray (It has both English and German 5.1 mixes) and the 2.0 LPCM from the UK BD to it!!!

I wonder what source this Italian DVD used? I heard the Cinema Club UK DVD used a widescreen blow up of a old VHS master (nonetheless, derived from an international print sporting PSO logos and credit references instead of Walt Disney Pictures), and this looks like a film transfer of some sort... possibly the US version if it has Disney credit references. FYI, this wasn't a Disney production at first, rather being produced by Viking Films and set to be released by PSO through Tri-Star. PSO and Viking were having financial issues and scrambled to seek another company to finish the film. Disney stepped in to invest and finish the film in exchange for adding product placements (EPCOT was prominently featured to promote the new attraction) and US rights in perpetuity, though oddly enough they did have UK theatrical rights while video rights were scattered across other UK companies.

Keep in mind that this source may likely have had all the VFX shots zoomed in due to being done/hard masked in the theatrical ratio (as with most films have). I know the VHS had them zoomed in to a degree while UK DVD had those shots cropped again from it's 4:3 VHS master into 16:9.
