Nice idea. I have a decent rip of the complete score if you need it.

Yep, that's the one. I agree that it should be a relatively simple job (at least compared with Blade Runner, which seems to be composed of a thousand tiny fragments).

So quick question and I assume the answer is yes: should I remove the tiny bit of windowboxing that the BD has?

Nope, that would upscale and maybe add some encoding problems. I say leave as is, it's hidden by overscan anyway, thus giving us more image left and right on our TVs

You won't get any encoding problems by cropping it but it's a pretty minor edge so i'd say either is ok.
The CC is looking really good though. Film Addict

Stamper, sorry but, what TV set are you using? There are "pixel perfect" (read: 1:1 pixel mapping) HDTVs since 2008, so I don't see the reason to NOT crop the borders; yes, there will be a very minor quality loss - depending of the upscale method used, but as the source would be reencoded anyway, I guess it's better to get the most image as possible...
My usual 2€c, of course!

Yeah like Dooombot said it won't change the picture quality at all and like spoRv said your TV should be set to pixel perfect with no overscan.
