If they update the audio tracks, they got a winner.
The PQ is the best for all the 3 original films.

I agree that the 4K video is excellent. WB deserve credit for doing a great job there. The recall seems like a good sign.

I know this studio hasn't always always had the best reputation for maintaining accuracy, but the work that's gone into the picture shows that they're trying to make an effort with this project. This may be a genuine gesture to get it in line with what was initially promised. As you alluded to, they have done nothing at all to garner any good faith. They did fix 2001, but WB UK deny the issue and won't fix it here, they are shocking

Apparently Zavvi and Amazon UK) have pushed the UK release back to March 2022
might be a sign that they are actually fixing the issue Thanks given by: jonno

So just browsed quick through the Mad Max 1 Warner UHD.
As the other films in the box set, the PQ is the best out there and fixes the problems of the Shout! UHD. However, it seems to me the mono track included is noise reduced, it's severely sounds trumped in many parts. I think though there is nothing here that can't be fixed by remuxing my old DVD tracks and the other past releases tracks including the australian unique 5.1 remix. All we need to do is calculate the right delay.

Whoops, sorry. Yep Kino. I still think the Color Grading is not 100% spots on though. I think this first one might replace the two other as possible regrade project.

Cap comparisons of MM1 seem to heavily favor the Kino UHD over the WB:

There's more resolution in the Kino, but the grading is way off. The new Warner is closer to that original film prints. I'll take a bit less resolution over a correct color grading presentation.
