[Released] Johnny Mnemonic Extended Edition
#41
Hey PDB, thanks for response. Not a problem to wait, it's just that I find it odd being seemingly ignored in a direct, polite message to anyone (if that is what's happening in this case, which I would again like to think would not be the case).

It's unfortunate if the overall impression of my interaction on this site, is that I fit in description of a profile you mentioned, 'cause I definitely try as much as I can to contribute. Maybe experience makes a difference and interacting with different kind of people over time, would make one feel that, I can see how it could, but still...

It's not even that big of a deal to get this project shared with me, I will tackle it on my own eventually, either way. I would just like to think that the overall attitude of the longer time members here is not a knee-jerk reaction of "oh this person is trying to take an advantage of me, let's ignore them", but rather a more measured approach, where one would give a benefit of a doubt, and just at least acknowledge, that somebody is trying to talk to them.

The "active members of the forum who post and/or make their own projects" can describe different levels of posting, it can mean that I'm expected to have couple of projects under my belt and already shared with people, or simply my honest attempts to add something to projects that I do appreciate or see here, like taking my time to do audio mixes for a project here, that I quite admire...

Either way, I am making a point, at least in my own interaction, that if somebody is addressing me personally and directly, I do not leave it to them to guess what I might be thinking... Such an odd thing to do, if one would take that route. Many wrong impression left to be made there. But that is just my thinking...

Ok. You've sent me two messages and posted on this page citing lack of response - all within the last 48 hours. That's not a polite message, that's hounding me and all it is going to achieve is winding me up. I have a life, a job, a family - I am not just sat here giving people instant responses. PDB put it better than I ever could and the project is not hosted at present.

I'm sorry you feel like that, my friend. It truly makes me said, that you would get that from my messages. I guess I have nothing else to say, here. Thank you for removing my doubts, in any case...

This sounds amazing. I had the original Japanese VHS tape.

I have such fond memories of this movie. I watched the Matrix in the theater, went nuts about it, and while waiting for it to be released in video stores, I bought a magazine at a kiosk, bundled with the vhs promising that this movie is the spiritual predecessor to the matrix. It was not (duh) but I still loved it and watched it to death.

Never seen the Japanese version, but would love to. I'll send you a DM as soon as the forum allows me to.
And remember.. don't think twice, just be nice

Ironically, I was the other way around. A huge fan of William Gibson, I enjoyed Johnny Mnemonic and had it on VHS. Blown away by the trailer for the Matrix, I cut classes the day it opened to see it.

I can definitely see how the other way around might be a disappointment.
