I've contacted a person from that reddit thread who said they did rip them. They do say the bitrate was very low. I've asked them to send them over regardless. No response yet.

Forgive me if I shouldn't be asking this here, but who did this in the end? I'd also love to know what happened with it.
How far did you get PDB? And do you still have your WIP?
Thanks.

I managed to pick up the Russian Hybrid version which looks quite good.
The media info also shows it's got a good bitrate for a WEBDL:

No word back since my last message sent. I've written to them again in hope that they'll get back to me.

Sadly, I tried going back to the post a few days ago and noticed the user had deleted their account and along with it, the links to their footage.
I remember they were hosted on Vimeo and seemed to be scans of the 1.43:1 70mm footage.
I am trying to recreate/find a version of the film which has all the IMAX footage, but unsure if it was completed on this forum or elsewhere.
I don't wanna be a downer, but here is the original post with links and all: https://www.removeddit.com/r/imax/commen...um=ios_app
Looks like it's just linking to 1.78 versions of the scenes on YouTube.

Hey, nothing wrong with being the only person with the answer in the room.
I am certain I saw this footage on Vimeo at some point. I may be wrong, memory is a fickle thing.

Question is, Kynch, was that footage definitely the full 1.43:1 Imax footage with black borders on the side or was it just the true 1.78:1 scenes (poorly compressed) from the full and available AMZN DE WEB-DL (which have appeared in numerous places like youtube). Please say the former as that is what I'm after to complete my own IMAX project.

This is a quickly cobbled together hybrid and doesn't even attempt to remove German burnt in subs or re-create the expanding frame

At this stage I'm questioning my own memory.
Like I said, I remember seeing this footage on Vimeo. I could also be getting this mixed up with 70mm footage of Interstellar, but I somehow think those were two different instances.

Yeah… that was months and months ago. My history gets purged regularly. Sorry, Doc.
