PDB, if you send me the relevant part of the capture, I'll have a look. I wish the old cap of the U.S. Theatrical were still around...

Here is an example from the 60i which is what it was broadcasted as: You can really see it when a shot change occurs. I've IVTC these kind of caps before successfully many times so I'm at a loss. Though admittedly IVTC-ing and the issues surrounding it are far from my wheelhouse. (2018-05-15, 10:42 AM)Chewtobacca Wrote: PDB, if you send me the relevant part of the capture, I'll have a look. Here are 3 short segments of the captures I did: Link Removed

Yeah, there was a cap long time ago. It's long gone.
I'll try to have a look at the sample later in the week. I've no access to my computer at present. Thanks though!
Actually I came across a problem of de-interlacing when I was looking at Conan... and although it was de-interlaced I still had gosting frames and Interlaced artifacts.
I actually found that I needed to De-Comb and not De-interlace. THere is a speed variable I chose Fast as the slow one did not work. So try a De-comb instead of De-interlace that might sort it out actually I reckon it will sort it out or fingers crossed for you anyway! Stick it in Handbrake... I use the auto crop and the AVG bit rate for quality to be the same as the overall bit rate 2 pass encode with the H264 preset set to Fast or medium. You should get a decent re-encode of it with little loss. You might have to do Decombe:bob as it's come in at 60fps Also looking at the screen caps I did notice that it was a bit Magenta and my old dvd shares that but It's a single LUT fix the colors are pretty good overall the only thing I found was that magenta sort of odd. I remember Earls Court Car park pretty well since I used to work there! Just reading up about 1080i once that is coverted progressive you will end up with 540 horizontal lines so probably best to go for a 720p upscale
