Next Canadian Hollywood Suite airing of the US version is Jul 27 2021 1:40 AM PT. Any takers from Canada with a good HDMI capping setup?

Sadly, no canuck takers. Next Canadian airings are August 5th, 13th, and the 20th, so its airing quite frequently.

Hopefully, Hulu might have it up eventully.

I might be able to reach some Canadian Highlander fans, if I find any takers I'll let you know.

Is this Canadian again? I'll ask about. Do you know how long it will be available? I'm in the UK and can't see much in the way of details on that link.

Yes, Canadian Amazon Prime as Hollywood Suite is a Canadian channel. Its definitely the US cut as the RT is shorter than the Euro cut and Fox is listed as the provider. Once again, were both not in Canada and Prime Video are known to have tight assed region locking as they block VPNs and non region correct payments and infos.

Good luck! I'll let you know if I'm able to find anyone to help.

You could try putting a general message in the shoutbox?

If anyone can PM me a link to this marvelous fan restoration, I would really appreciate it.

I have the Highlander DC on Bluray, but the opening always really bothers me as it immediately shows Connor in the 1500's in the highlands of Scotland, which totally ruins the reveal of him as an immortal. The original editors made a very good decision by delaying the reveal until later, thereby letting viewers get hooked into the mystery.

Revealing it all right away is a very bad decision. similar to the opening sequence in Dark City, which ironically was fixed in the DC. I loved watching Highlander in the theatre for the first time and not knowing for sure what was going on, with the overall story and Connor's past being slowly revealed like a good book. The DC just tosses all the exposition and character history right out there in the first few minutes, and literally gives away everything.

I also remember when the "Connor is an immortal" secret was revealed in the movie, I thought back to the wrestling scenes and understood the symbolism, that Connor was taking in an event that satisfied an atavistic itch, and is probably the most apt comparison we had in the 80's to warriors fighting on the battlefield. I thought the earlier link was ingenious, but it's all ruined by the DC, which obviously thinks people are too dumb to get the connection and need to be spoon-fed the entire story right at the start.
