Well, FINALLY managed to watch the workprint!
As for the crossfades, some of them can't be removed easily, but others (when some time passes between the two scenes) would work better with a fade to black - fade from black. Like the gaps they include in TV series to mark where to insert the commercials.
Anyway, the story is flows fine and isn't boring.
Some notes:
* I'm glad you removed the pointless "Merle" scene. It was clearly filler and an excuse to pay the actor a day of work and retain him in the series.
* I think the "Carl surgery" scenes could be cut down more.
* I missed the "Shane shaving" scene. We see him with hair and the next scene he is bald. If I remember correctly, that scene was complete at the beginning of the episode and later again with intercuts of Otis.
* The "zombie in the well" scene. Never liked it. Again just filler, and so dumb it hurts. They want us to believe that they would drink the water from that well even if the zombie was correctly removed? That water had a rotten corpse for days! Thinking that removing it would make the water suitable for drinking is stupid! I know Maggie mentions the well in a conversation about how the group treat Glenn, but maybe the reference can be removed.
* The "pregnancy test". If I didn't miss anything, Glenn and Maggie go to the farmacy apparently for no reason and later we find they had to get a pregnancy test for Lori. Maybe the scene with Lori asking for it could be reinserted.
And I think that's all!
