I'd use open matte along with YAO subtitle to get 1.85:1...
Italian track: let me prepare tiny video, really soon... later, perhaps?
PS: you didn't do your homeworks... PAL does not need IVTC!

Not wanting to derail this thread but I've captured PAL material with video edits, cadence breaks and the like that have needed an IVTC to return it back to progressive frames. Obviously CRTs were interlaced displays as was VHS/LD so it wasn't really a problem then.

Yeah, not a fan of that process. Sorry spoRv.

I'm in no rush

You know what I meant (PAL speed, pitch and all that)

The German DVD is all matters of messed up in that way. Clearly NTSC at one point and converted to PAL.

So, do you need the Italian track pitch/speed adjusted? In that case, maybe it is better if you upload (a really compressed version of) video, to avoid too many passages, right?

Probably so but it can wait a little till I clear the space Star Trek 2 is occupying. Like I said, no rush. Just keeping a running checklist of what I need.

OK. But also something like 500kbps will do - I always use frames as reference for audio tracks, and this method works 99.9% of the times (0.1% was, for example, Halloween, when a track was off of few ms, but yet I can hear that! )

Need the Image, German, French and Italian
If you have the German VCL Disc, you have the german mono. As I said, it just misses one Scene.
Except for the Italian, I can help getting it.
I have:
- the old German with the Mono. (The one you mentioned with the 1.66:1 image, so you may have that.)
- the old US Image DVD
- the old French TF1 DVD
will take some time, but you seem not to be in a big hurry...

The JP LD LucasGodzilla referred to earlier in the thread is PILF-1297 if anyone is interested.
Thanks for the capture!
Wait? What? Have to check if that's the LD I have... In two weeks... Hope I do not forget...
I have that LD... I am shocked... I got it, but never checked it out, assuming the same AR as all us Widescreen LDs...

AFAIK somewhere in the wild net someone lready completed the German mono track... But I was not able to download it. But it is a speechless cut, so a completion of the German mono audio would be possible to do, by someone capable of audio recutting and syncing...
