The red push removed, but it seems overbright resulting in clipped whites. Nonetheless, it's going to be a welcome stopgap until the 4K in 2094.

2094? Hahaha!
I suppose Cameron has taken advice from his own screenplay on how to manage the remaster: Do it doucement. Do it, very slowly.

Come on this teal thing is overrated. The red push is gone, so all colors shift back. That's it. This look like MOR transfer until the real 4K, and it should be welcomed.

I'd argue that all video versions we've seen and even that beat up print scan that was floating around some years ago do not capture how this film is supposed to look. They're all either too red, too cool (or teal if you want to call it that), too dark, or too lacking in detail. Luckily, both the LaserDiscs and the DVHS audio is right on the money and sounds almost spot on with the 70mm SR mag I have heard.
A proper new scan cannot come soon enough.

borisanddoris, as someone who has viewed True Lies on film does it have the same signature 'look' as T2, ie the Steel Blues
