Thanks. I'm also preparing an English bluray cover for it, in case someone else outside Italy wants a copy, after all it's expected to contain both the US and the Italian version thanks to seamless branching (plus German audio).
I'm just waiting till early November to see if they fixed the moire effect or any other problem

The current plan is to leave all three tracks (English, Italian and German) in PCM (even if it means sacrificing a bit of video bitrate) but I'm also looking into modern ways of reducing the size of the audio without losing quality (Dolby TrueHD, DTS... that kind of stuff). In this regard, is anybody outside Italy actually interested in this release? The Italian localization should be optional with seamless branching so you still get the original US credits if you select English language at the beginning. It's nothing more than a mostly-fixed barebone Shout Factory release with original stereo mixes from Laserdisc (newly synched) and no extras. SpoRv already did an excellent job with his own release by collecting all audio commentaries, different mixes and extras, I didn't feel like I needed to cover that too. Mine is mostly about giving the original experience of the film (audio and video) as close to the original as possible. I'm working on an English cover for it (ignore the Dolby symbol and some parts that are still in Italian)...

Sure, I am interested in this release. First of all, because of the corrected Video and the old english and german audio mixes...

Oh I know you are
Shame we didn't find the German credits from 35mm in that laserdisc! But if you need a cover in German I can do that too for you (you'll have to translate it for me though)

I think the english Cover is fine.
What software do you use for that cover?
Maybe, if I have some time spare some day, I'll try to make my own Cover in German...

Each PCM track is around 1.1 GB, not too bad over all. But the least space is used for an equivalent-quality audio, the more space is left for the video quality. With 3 PCM tracks I estimated I should use a video bitrate not higher than 25Mbps in order to fit within the 23GB of a Blu Ray disc. It's not too bad but I'm working with DoomBot to see what DTS has to offer in terms of equivalent audio quality. Proper "DTS HD Master Audio" is not really an option because it has the same bitrate of a PCM track, for stereo it doesn't really give us any advantage, PDB is looking into the other DTS alternatives. If anyone knows how to handle "Dolby TrueHD" format please do let me know. I'm testing all options.

MrBrown The cover is being done in Adobe Photoshop but you don't need to handle the whole process, I just need the text translation. I'll pass you the text once it's 100% complete.
