Adobe Encore is plenty of fun too. I just found out that it can't do authoring of anything above 25Mbps bitrate/max 30 which is the high quality preset for H264-Blu Ray on Adobe Premiere, otherwise it gives me a fatal error.
Error: "fatal error", Code: "6", note: "video buffer underflows. Total bitrate is too high
Looks like I won't be able to push it any higher to fit the whole disc. Shame. I hope 25mbps video bitrate can produce excellent results already (at pass-2 obviously).
For the subtitles I'm considering using a different program altogether. Clearly Encore is not the best choice for it since it seems like it re-encodes the image files at a much lower quality with no control over it. I'll create the Blu-Ray folder and then mux the subs later before burning it on a disc. Hopefully they'll be in synch

Can Encore save in a lossless format? If so, then you could encode it in x264 (or some GUI) using the settings you prefer.
But I can also add that 25mbps, even if you use a 35mm grain plate, is more than adequate to encode a 2.35:1 23,976fps 1080p video; I'll just put the peak at 40mbps, within the BD standard, and just in case...

Tomorrow I'll try export from Premiere to uncompressed AVI and then encode it in x264. Maybe it's Premiere messing everything up with a faulty h264 encoding. If then Encore can do the authoring from this, fine, otherwise I'll have to forget the idea of a menu.

Yeah that's what I was getting at earlier in the thread. SpoRv is right in the money. Adobe's 264 encoder whether from premiere, effects or encoder is just is not good.
Stick with your new plan, get lagarith and encode it as an Avi and then use x264

Authoring... the tragic situation so far
Problems authoring with EasyBD Lite 1.1
- MUXER ERROR (explained here https://fanrestore.com/thread-1276.html )
It seems to be some problem with the audio, this is very weird since my PCM tracks seem to be compatible with just any other program I tried. I was suggested to run the audio through eac3to, I haven't tested this yet.
- Chapters are not inserted
Although chapter timestamps are correctly imported they do not show up when I go create the iso. I have no clue about why.
- It writes cache files where it shouldn't... and doesn't delete them afterwards.
nothing I can do about this except being annoyed at the programmers. It definitely makes me want to test this software the least possible, hence why I haven't tested fixing the audio yet and instead I tried a different authoring software with so many new and different problems...
Problems authoring with DVD Architect 7
- Insists on re-encoding because my h264 files don't appear to be compliant, and that's just unacceptable.
- Chapters can't be imported, there is some bug on this function so they'd have to be redone one by one... not a big deal but still!
- Subtitles are incompatible with just anything except txt. DVD-A only accepts DVD Architect Subtitle Script (.sub), DVD Studio Pro subtitle (txt), Vegas region list (txt) and text files. I worked on Subtitle Edit and tried exporting my subtitles to all sorts of Sony-based/sup files and none worked, unknown errors occur when I import them on Architect. Text is the only format that works and I prefer not to use it on Blu-Ray. I've been suggested to try export them with Subtitle Workshop. I'll try it if I can solve the re-encoding problems.
(DVD architect gave no error on the PCM audio tracks by the way)

At this point, why don't you give a try to TSmuxeR?
If it works, just burn a BD-RE and see if it plays properly on one (or more) of your hardware BD players (and/or PS3/4)

Some programmes seem to insist upon re encoding video/audio streams (like Encore). I believe people have had luck doing the following: allowing the software to transcode the files before compiling the blu ray disc structure, then using multiAVCHD to restore the original streams and rebuild the disc.

As MultiAVCHD uses TSmuxeR to mux/demux (AFAIK), maybe use it directly it's a better choice.
