I haven't capped the squeeze LD (yet). I believe spoRv is if he hasn't already. So far as syncing, I would go with the latest lionsgate release.
I forget the order of release but I would imagine the MUSE and THX squeeze (PILF-2555) are similar colour wise. They are also unattainable to mortals it would seem

According to lddb.com the MUSE Hi-Vision was released in 1993(!)
I watched T2 squeeze again tonight and the AC3 track is as sweet as a nut. The fidelity is incredible. There a couple of crackles in the surrounds but I just don't care. I compared it to the AC3 from the final US LD (LD68952-2DD) and it sounds like maybe they near-field mixed for that disc and for all subsequent releases.
The interesting thing about the colour timing of this release is that even where there are colour casts ie purple, cyan/teal etc., there are other colours present too like skin tones. Also of note is that it is not as contrast boosted as later masters so there is some detail in the highlights.

Do you mean the original 6-track mix before the Ultimate Edition DVD (when it was remixed to 6.1)? I would agree with that.

Yeah, I remember the Traci Lords scandal pretty damn well, even though I'm too young to remember. Long story short, she lied about her age, and most of her films had to be pulled when it was discovered.
