All the classic Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z movies were originally shown in 1.85:1 in cinemas, but they were animated in 4:3.
The Japanese VHS, LaserDisc, DVD and Blu-ray releases are in the original 1.85:1 aspect ratio; but the Western releases are often open matte 4:3, but some are 16:9.
