I know there was an old pre certification laserdisc in the UK, the UK VHS was also uncut so I figure the LD was as well.

Ive got a rip of the uncut version from VHS but it’s very washed out and poor quality.

I also watched MM3 a lot more as a kid since it was on UHF TV all the time. It was that, Predator, Running Man, etc.

I think the only way to get the international version uncut is probably the UK Laserdics, as all other LDs might have the foreign dub only.

There is only one UK release from 1986

Here is an odd one. I was trolling through HBOmax for old or unique video masters and saw the Road Warrior. I clicked thinking it was the regular BD master till this came up



Apparently, this version is the US R rated version and seems to be missing the violence with the arrow and boomerang. It is the same master as the BD just cut to the US cut. It still has the modern WB logo (no Saul) and the exit music making it a hybrid of sorts.

Sadly, the RW is from a non clean-up source but at least seems to be stabilized. I have to to compare it to my work to see if it is an upscale also or a true HD scan.

Warners is releasing MM2 and Thunderdome in 4K. Tentatively, MM:BT looks the same as the BD, if the youtube clip is to be believed:



Sadly, MM:BT still had the bad blow out that the DVD doesn't have. But to me MM2/RW looks a tiny bit different in it that it looks a slight bit redder:



Is it just me or do some shots that have green skies on the BD look proper blue on this clip?

Still no blue filter at night like the DVD...

Mad Max 3 was only too hot on Blu, looks better here, I'm sure the UHD will shine.

Mad Max 2 will only need some tweaks to achieve perfection, I'm sure you will be able to reboot the project with great aim!

It looks awesome! French dub lovers beware, the bad sync problem where Papagallo talks with the voice of the old man and the old man with the voice of Papagallo is still there, they haven't corrected it.

Wow with a few improvements, Plus probably getting rid of the 7.1 track and replacing it with the BD and LD tracks you could have the ultimate version of this film.
