Great screenshot comparison. The Spanish thing has quite the soft highlights, beautiful. But I agree we should go with German, as noted in PM.

What's that 1.33:1 ATV thing? Is that an HDTV? SDTV?

I think it's a Russian SDTV (or ATV) recording. But, watching at the comparison, I think that, if the BD JP is 1.78:1, it could include the whole 1.33:1 image (hopefully) plus more details on left and right. We'll see!

Aaah. I totally forgot about that post. Yeah, that image is kinda useless with the cropped sides, lol! Yeah that JPN BD is like a wet dream, lol. I hope it's for real.

Japanese BD seems to come from the same master as the french and german BD.
Not open matte, same Aspect Ratio as other BDs. So no real help here.

From memory the colour grade is closest to the IT release in the screen shots above and there is no English dub.

It has another color grading, different from the others, so now we are at 5!

IIRC it has an higher video bitrate than both French and German, so it could always be useful as a source - plus, it should have the Japanese audio track (and maybe subtitles, too).
