Yep awesome! The BD colors were always off. It looks like it's non graded or something.

Whether or not the colours of the LD you're grading from represent how the film is 'supposed' to look, I very much like what you're doing. The images are much more vibrant, almost reminiscent of the colour palette of the original TV series. Well done!

Ok, so time to let this one into the wild. I went back and forth on the colors here for a bit. Like all LD regrades I lowered the saturation and in this case lowered the reds some (but still very saturated and red). After running some tests I tweaked the skin tones more towards orange then red but still peaking on the red side. In general, I tried to strike a balance between accuracy to the LD and a pleasing, watchable picture.
Also as stated in this thread, I ran my own color grade for the CGI sequence since it was wildly inconsistent on the LD. It ended up being middle ground between the LD and BD but keeping skin tones the same orange-red as the other shots in that scene. Two short space shots I also tweaked as a mid-ground between the two sources as the LD was way off presentable.
It's uploading now. Participating members (aka no newbies) can PM me if they want a copy. I'll keep it posted for a week or two.

PDB, can I ask what makes you think that the BD is more theatrically accurate than the LD? I just took a look at the original trailer out of interest and, while it does look darker, the colours on the starships are much more like the light tan of your regrade rather than the cold grey/blue of the BD. The shot of the Enterprise from the rear that you posted is in the trailer and it looks nothing like the BD and much more like yours.

The 35mm of ST3 has the ships in blues and cool temps, very similar to the BD of ST2. That includes the footage from ST2 at the beginning of ST3. There are a few other bits here and there that also lead me to that conclusion. The only problem with the ST2 BD is to me, my personal opinion, it's too dark.
As for this project, Jonno, has made me aware of a issue in the picture quality, particularly at the beginning. I agree with his assessment and I'm going to "pull this off the market" so to speak until such time as I can fix it.
Anyone who downloaded it can just delete those files as I will replace them with an update in due time.
